WHY I'M RUNNING
Knowing others that have taken on this challenge and watching their journeys, I have found it truly inspiring. To put yourself through something so mentally and physically challenging for such an amazing cause is humbling to witness. I’d like to take on The 24-in-24 challenge to help spread awareness and maybe motivate someone else to help make a difference in the future as well. Though this run will absolutely be a challenge for me, I know it has no comparison to the challenges these wish kids and families face each and every day. I will run for them and their families!

Because his cancer cells have an unfavorable gene mutation, Brooks is considered high-risk and is on a three-year treatment plan that consists of chemotherapy and steroid treatments. The first year was a tough one, but Brooks showed us all how to embrace the journey. He never complains, even when he’s not feeling well. He is nonstop energy, full of ...
