WHY I'M RUNNING

I have a passion for running and fitness, but most importantly, I have dedicated my life to taking care of children with congenital heart defects. I have been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. For the last 11 years, I have been blessed and fortunate to work with patients with congenital heart disease. I work with our young surgical patients and their families meeting them pre operatively, providing care in the hospital and following up once discharged. I have never loved a job more than this. I would be so honored to be chosen to run and represent all the hundreds of families and children and I have cared for in Northeast Ohio.

About Team Colton

In 2018, at the end of May, we received the devastating news that our rainbow baby boy had several serious heart defects and would need surgery a few days after birth and also 2 other planned surgeries. These palliative surgeries would not fix his heart but just make his life longer. His official diagnoses were Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), and an interrupted aortic arch.
