It takes incredible strength to tackle cancer head-on and, unfortunately, it is something my family is all too familiar with. You feel helpless as someone on the outside, wondering what you can do to support or assist those facing the unimaginable. In 2019, my cousin, Logan, a vibrant and courageous three year old, was a wish kid for The 24 in 24. I was inspired by the runners who loved him unconditionally and ran in his name; Logan entered remission in 2019. I promised I would repay this kindness, so I became a runner to participate in this very race. I am back for my second year to continue paying it forward to other children who deserve the magic of wishes.
