WHY I'M RUNNING
The reason I am running is because last year when I went to this event to watch some friends run I was able to witness how amazing this event is. I stayed till the event was over and watched all finishers get their medals from the families and also witness all the families receiving their donations. The smile on the faces of those kids really made my day and I knew right then and there I was absolutely signing up for this event the following year. I really wanted to be able to participate in such an amazing fundraiser. A fundraiser like this is so amazing to see be done and will be even more amazing to be a part of because these kids truly deserve all the smiles, laughter, and support! I’m glad I can contribute to that! As a nurse it is amazing being able to be a part of someone feeling better. For 7 years now, I have been able to make a difference in this world and I always still strive to do more! Last year seeing these kids smiling even though they are battling life threatening illnesses makes you honestly see all the good we have in this life and try to be more positive and optimistic and truly live each and everyday to our fullest potential. My why this year is for the smiling faces of all those kids.
