Ava is a 2 1/2 year old who, on June 21st, 2019 at age 1, was diagnosed with b-cell Acute Lymphoblastic leukemia. We spent the first 15 days in the hospital to get started on her treatment. She is a brave and happy little girl who doesn't stop fighting. It's been a long road of hospital stays for treatments and blood transfusions, but she has never stopped smiling.

Ava has a great support team, plus she always has a side kick with her. Right now, her sidekick is a stuffed groundhog named Charlie plus her lovey she named guy. Everybody that meets Ava falls in love with her. She makes everyone smile and laugh. From the start we have explained everything that was going to happen to her, so she likes to know everything. She loves her doctors and nurses at Rainbows Babies and Children Hospital. She likes to play pretend nurse - she even has her own hospital badge that the child life specialist team made her! Who knows she might grow up to be a nurse one day!

Ava has a strong and crazy personality that everybody loves. She loves being outside, playing with her toys, doing puzzles, coloring and reading. She also loves watching Disney Jr. and playing on her tablet. Ava's favorite movie is Moana, so of course her 2nd birthday party was Moana themed! She is the strongest toddler I have every met. She is well loved by many.
